Streets in Buttondown Farm: Buttondown Lane, Khaki Court, Madras Court, St. John Circle

Buttondown farm has been built on the Robert Lukemeyer estate. Located in the northcentral part of Zionsville it is just off Pleasantview Church Road (CR 975.) The Lukemeyer family owned and operated the Rodrick-St. John’s clothing store at the Glendale Mall in Indianapolis. The shop was well known for its ivy league “preppy” style clothes… hence…explaining the naming of the streets. The original Lukemeyer home has been retained within the subdivision and is located on St. John Circle.

The lots were offered to the public and home custom builder were able to purchase lots in the area so this explains the variety of design and styles among the homes.
